What is KIMÆRA?

KIMÆRA (Pronounced Kim-Era) is a creature-centric, real-time RPG adventure video game currently in development! KIMÆRA is being made by Dave Saunders (AKA @davogato_real ) / @Shanty_Studios, with the help of friends!

In the world of KIMÆRA, the whole Forista region is yours to explore!

As you do, you’ll meet the people, wildlife, and ever-mysterious kimaera creatures that call it home.

See where your journey takes you!

Meet Some Types of Kimaera!

These creatures are known collectively as kimaera. Kimaera are different from regular creatures, as they embody, command, or are made of, concentrated elemental matter. They cover the world, just as numerous as the animals, plants, and humans– maybe even more so. Each species of kimaera is unique.

Machine Requirements

KIMÆRA’s Sandbox Build requires a keyboard and a desktop or laptop computer to play.

The supported release is for Windows.

How to Play & Controls

Try to help out the people you meet.

And you can speak to people or inspect things with the SPACE BAR.

Hit the ESC KEY to bring up the menu to quit the game.

F.A.Q.

Will you be releasing the engine?

The engine will remain non-public for the foreseeable future. Our game is built in GameMaker Studio 2, and the game itself was coded by a total of just three people so far. As we may modify the engine and code for future projects, we feel it’s best to keep it closed-source.

Are you a company or an indie team?

We are a small indie team! We simply use Shanty Studios LLC to help get our works protected and copyrighted! We remain small because our budget is small, and we put a lot of love into our work! All money this project has ever had put into it came from our own pockets.

How can I support the development of the game?

For supporting development, head to our Patreon page!

Can I help out on this project?

While we are a small indie team, we do feel we’re able to manage on our own on the moment. If you’d still like, you can send us your information through the below form.
